Raza and Trauma: Individual, Family, & Community Impact

April 10, 2021; 11am – 1pm CDT (Central)

We know that our people deal with intergenerational, historical, and racial traumas. These experiences have affected us individually and as a community. The results of these experiences can show up in many ways including post traumatic stress and post colonization stress. Our community and culture also has legacies of wisdom and healing. This workshop plática will discuss the various ways suffering and trauma have affected us and more importantly how we can respond in ways that are culturally relevant for our people and ways we can incorporate our cultural strengths in our healing. Together we hope to re connect and re imagine our cultural strengths to create pathways for healing in our individual lives, our families, and in our communities.

The event will be recorded and the recording will be available for one week for those who can not make the live workshop.

This will be an on-line Zoom event. The Zoom link to join the event will be sent out 30 minutes before the event begins.
