Lilliana Patricia Saldaña, Ph.D. is a Xicana activist scholar from San Antonio, Texas, and is an Associate Professor of Mexican American Studies (MAS) at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also serves as co-director of the MAS Teacher’s Academy – the only academy of its kind to support educators who want to teach MAS in their K-12 classrooms,

Lilliana is currently pursuing her diplomado/certificate in History of Mexican Gastronomy through La Escuela de Gastronomia in Mexico City. When she is not teaching or doing public scholarship, she is learning about Mesoamerican
