AUGUST 22, 2021 10am – 1pm CDT (CENTRAL TIME)

ONLINE Webinar

Stories of courage. Stories of COVID. Stories of parenthood. Stories of racial trauma. Stories of faith. Stories of gender. Stories of sexualities. Stories shape our identity. The telling and sharing of stories can be healing for intergenerational, community, family, and individual soul wounds. Narratives can play a powerful role in how many our people navigate and shape meaning in their lives. Uncovering the richness of resilience known and unknown to us…to re-member what we have forgotten; to make the invisible….visible. In this workshop platica, we will discuss ways to recognize the healing power of stories by bringing forth the wisdom and strengths in our personal and family stories to re-shape painful stories. We will incorporate aspects of Narrative Therapy with our framework of a Chicanx Psychology/Worldview to explore applied ways of re-storying our experiences in ways that affirm our cultural identity and legacies. c/s

  1. Hello, will this be an interactive conversation between attendees and facilitators? Or will this be a more educational course on storytelling? Thank you! 🙂
